1. Service Description

Pixel Paws provides a virtual pet experience for macOS, allowing users to care for a digital creature that lives in their menu bar. The service is provided for personal entertainment purposes.

2. User Responsibilities

By using Pixel Paws, you agree to:

  • Use the app for personal entertainment purposes.
  • Not to misuse the app, including attempting to manipulate the game mechanics unfairly.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your use of the app.

3. Service Availability

You acknowledge that:

  • The service is provided "as is," and we make no warranties regarding its availability, reliability, or that it will be free of errors.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

4. Intellectual Property

All content and materials included in the app, such as text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Pixel Paws or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app.

5. Cost of Service

Pixel Paws is free to download and use. Additional features, such as all current and future exclusive pets and backgrounds, can be unlocked through a one-time In-App Purchase ('Premium Upgrade'). This purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the premium features. All purchases are final and non-refundable.

6. Data Handling

7. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by German law. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin.

8. Service Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users of the service, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

9. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Limitations of Liability

Pixel Paws is provided for entertainment purposes only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the app.
